For 29 years we've worked with National & Regional clients, across all sizes of business in the Public & Private sectors. We provide DSA consultations & equipment for students, working alongside Access Centres throughout the Midlands.  We regularly see Private Individuals in need of our expertise, often due to Medical Therapist referal. We've provided CPD training in Practical Ergonomics for Osteopaths, Chiropractors & Physiotherapists. We've also run DSE Ergonomics courses at many prestigious Universities.

We never work purely on anatomical measurements. Think about it; Two people may both have size 8 feet but they're unlikely to find the same shoes the most comfortable or suitable for the job they do.  It's no different when selecting optimal office equipment on an individual basis, particularly where back/neck pain are already occuring.

We pride ourselves on recommending the right equipment & set up on an individual basis. This is not neccessarily the most expensive option every time and we only specify additional features relevant to ergonomic support needs.  Our recommendations are fully explained and costed in our written reports.  This approach has proved highly successful with end users, who are confident in the equipment we supply and budget holders who value and trust our integrity to specify according to need.

Dr Rob Harrison PhD BSc (Hons) has a  Doctorate in Bio-mechanics of muscle & joint forces combined with over 20 years experience recommending practical ergonomic solutions in the workplace.

Mrs Jessica Roberts BSc(Hons) Ergonomics & Human Factors, joined Total Back Care for her industrial placement year in 2013 & returned full-time on completion of her degree. She trained closely alongside Dr Harrison & became a Back Care Ergonomics Consultant in 2016. She now has 8 years experience in her own right & was promoted to Edgbaston Centre Manager in 2020.

Where possible we recommend visiting one of our Centres, as our full range of products are available for comparative trial.  This allows the end-user to actively participate in the specification of their workplace support needs and feel confident that they are being met.  An appointment is required to ensure the availability of one of our Consultants.

Where it is not geographically or physically possible to visit one of our Centres, we offer Onsite Consultations, where we bring a selection of relevant equipment & our expertise to your place of work. We have invested in a mobile consultation centre to accomodate such needs.
