Back Supports

Total Back Care carries a wide range of back supports, which are available to try at one of our Centres.  Our Consultants will advise on posture, support and fit, whilst you judge the level of comfort.  There is no one size fits all solution to back pain, indeed  selecting the wrong support can aggrevate a condition rather than relieve it, so it's important to make sure you choose wisely.  There are cheap and cheerful versions available but they often defy ergonomic thinking, deteriorate rapidly and may not end up as value for money - be careful!

For your car

The width, depth, contour and firmness of supports vary enormously, as can the relief felt in varying environments; especially in the car, where other factors may need attention (bucketing seat, height of steering wheel, angle of back, amount of legroom).  At The Total Back Care Centre, we bring a range of supports out to you in your car, so we can optimise the solution to your needs and you can judge comfort and support in situ.

Seating Wedges

Ideal for placing on a flat seat to help ensure the knees drop below the hips, opening up the pelvic angle and reducing pressure on the lumbar spine.  Coccyx cut versions available.  Shape, angle, contour, firmness and type of foam are all variables which must be considered to meet individual needs.
